“It was wonderful working with you. We are very glad that we selected you to take our wedding photos. It was very easy for us to feel comfortable because you are so relaxed and kind. “
Karen & Justin
My goal on your wedding day is to document and preserve your special memories with a relaxed and fun attitude! It’s important for me to collaborate with you leading up to your special day in order to ensure everything runs smoothly. Beautiful, real photographs are born from a collaborative relationship between photographer and client(s). It is my goal to nurture our connection before, during and after your big day. This connection starts from day one when we meet in-person for an initial consultation, correspond through e-mail and phone, let loose during your engagement session, and of course celebrate your Big Day…!
Do you travel?
Yes I do! For travel within Ontario, there is an extra charge for gas and travel time.
Do you work with a “Second Shooter” or assistant photographer?
No, I do not normally. But if this is something that you would prefer, I am able to hire an assistant for your big day. Just let me know.
Do you have backup equipment?
Yes! I always carry at least one back up camera, several lenses, back up batteries and back up memory. Key word here is: back up 🙂
What do I need to do to finalize a booking with you?
To book your wedding date, I require a signed contract and retainer fee – 50% of your total package fee. The remainder is due 4 weeks prior to your wedding day.
Why is important to have my photos printed or designed into a wedding album?
What should we wear?
When deciding what to wear for your session, I recommend styling outfits that are most comfortable and suit you best. Stay away from logos or words on clothing. Also, no black please. Try and choose clothes that have some interest: knits, corduroy, denim, and/or patterns, such as plaid, stripes, etc. as they photograph very well. If this all seems overwhelming, I am happy to help style your attire, please just ask!
Where will the shoot take place?
The shoot can take place either at an outdoor location of your choice. Let me know if you have any ideas for locations; I’m very flexible.
When do you book your photo sessions?
I am available to book photo sessions days, evenings and some weekends; however, the best time is in the early morning or evening before the sun is too high and bright. The light during these hours is most forgiving and soft. The “golden hour,” or right before sunset, is well sought after by many photographers as a time for capturing beautiful photographs.
